THE BRIEF

This client wanted their kitchen to have a contemporary feel but with traditional elements. With the space being a large kitchen/dining/living area, catering for all three and creating a flowing but functional kitchen and living area within an L-shaped space was a challenge that was overcome.

DESIGNER'S TIPS

Keeping one length of the room for the kitchen furniture and the other length for the dining and seating kept this space functional whilst being open plan. A false chimney breast and mantle built around a range cooker can create a stunning feature within a kitchen.
